team’s network of sponsors and resources.
If you are interested, please join a brief cover letter & resume to this application form. Applications close 10/12.
Develop a framework for computer vision to recognize Autocross tracks using LiDAR and cameras.
Work in a team to help set a direction and strategy. Spec out sensors, onboard computers, work on cone recognition, distance
calculations, data fusion and mapping. Potential developments include boundary estimation and path planning, further
Develop a driverless hydropneumatic braking system compatible with regular driver inputs. Work in a team to determine system
requirements, design and spec out parts. Design mechanical and/or electronics components, controls logic. Potential developments
include further integration with other vehicle systems.
Develop a power steering system compatible with regular driver inputs. Work in a team to determine system requirements, design
and spec out parts. Design mechanical and/or electronics components, controls logic. Potential developments include further
integration with other vehicle systems.
Develop a model for a three phase AC motor: work in a team to derive governing equations from Newton & Faraday’s principles. Test
motor to obtain related constants. Potential developments include further work in motor design, motor control, with further
derivations but also power electronic component design.
Why do you want to do this special project? What skills could you bring to that specific project?
